Its made by National Instruments ( www.ni.com ). I think the two biggest uses of it is for Data Acquisition and Motion Control. The best part about it is its all visual so people with no programming experience can pick it up pretty easily. It also integrates with NI hardware in a snap.



I had never written a line of code before and played around with Labview for a couple months. I just recently wrote a program that collects data, generates reports, and organizes jobs for a test lab I run.
