Zinc is mainly used for hot-dip and electro-plated galvanising although there may be some obscure applications for manufactures items.

Bronze in it's various forms (Aluminium Bronze, Lead Bronze and Phosphor Bronze) is used a lot for marine work due to it's resistance to salt water corrosion. Valves for sea water cooling systems and propellers etc., also for bearing surfaces (slide rails, bushes etc.).

Apart from jewellery, silver is used to coat electrical components due to it's conductivity.

Brass is used for a great many items such as nuts & screws for electrical work, valves for potable water (not salty) applications.

Zinc is used with copper to produce brass and is also used in bearing castings.

Bronze can be used in artwork or alloyed with phosphour for bearings

Silver for jewellery or in electrical components,

Brass has many decorative uses as well as instruments and also for the reeds in some instuments especially reed organs
