Did you know that saltwater will burn when exposed to radio waves? 13.53 mhz, I am told. It breaks down the bonds and causes saltwater to release hydrogen.

You might look into amateur radio. Go to the Arrl website. arrl.net its a great hobby for engineers and alot of the things you can build yourself and there is so much more to it than people think. Its not like CB's like some people think you can talk to the ISS(international space station) on passes, bounce signals of the moon, transmit on microwave frequencies, talk to people through sattelites when they pass over or use various digital modes, rtty, psk31, olivia, packet, sstv. The atmosphere plays big roles in several types of propagation as well, the sunspot cycles effect prorogation as well. Its a neat hobby and loving science you should really check it out. There are not as many people into it now like there use to be but there are alot of new emerging digital modes as well. 73's :-)

You probably don't know how the clock in the tower of the Houses of Parliament in London is regulated.

It is done by adding or taking off old pennies from on top of the pendelum's weight.

To speed it up, pennies are added, and vice versa.

The Fibre Optic Cable was invented at Southampton University in the UK.

They failed to patent it !!!!!!!!

Probably the most costly mistake ever.

I'll bet you didn't know that Albert Einstein did not win the Nobel Prize for his work in relativity; he won the Nobel Prize for work describing the Photoelectric Effect.
