Tropicalization of equipment is protecting the components from the elements that surround them. This can be done by coating the components, called conformal coating. But this causes the components to heat up.
The coating creates an insulation barrier preventing thermal dissapation which is also a killer of electrical/electronic components.
Another way to protect equpment is to put the equipment in a weather proof enclosure, such as a NEMA 4 rated enclosure.
This way normal industrial products can be enclosed and guarded from the elements. A stiring fan helps to keep the components cool. An air-conditioner may be added if temperature inside goes above 95degC.
Worse conditions than the tropics would be equipment on or near the ocean. Salt-water will destroy equipment yesterday. A proper enclosure is what saves or prolongs the life of the equipment. Of course, keep the doors closed.

I just ran into this for a motor specific project. On a motor, the motor supplier, will spray an antifungal treatment on the windings which prevents molds and fungus from making a nice home in the motor windings. This treatment burns off the first time the motor is ran. It's basically a long term storage treatment that doesn't effect the motor after start up. It's also an adder to the original cost and is not a severe duty motor.

Heat and humidity are the greatest enimies of any electrical equipment. Tropical and subtropical countries are famous for hot and humid climate. Any such equipment intended to be sent or sold in such countries is given extra attention and made to withstand those climatic conditions. This is called tropicalization.
you can contact those manufacturers that are based in India or such countries or do export their products to these countries. This might help.

Tropicalization is treatement to help withstand prolonged heat and humidity.
This is also known as Conformal Coating" - see this link.
