technically it could contribute in the future, but especially given the current state of nanotech it is really not a large possibility. you have to consider that nanotechnology is mostly doing what we already know how to do, but on a smaller scale. for weapons it is much more practical to simply use proven large scale technology that already exists rather than spending billions of dollars on extremley complex equivalent technology.
