Mango chutney or paw-paw chutney --- which is the better? I prefer mango. This is a matter of personal likes and personalities. Electronics is better for people who like electronics and computer science is better for people who like computing --- if you will excuse the trivial but necessary truth.

You have to decide for yourself what to do --- to do this, you need to consider the views of people who are already working or studying these fields --- preferably both. Do not select a career simply because of its security of tenure and earning power --- select a job that you will enjoy,

Electronics, computer science is just sitting in front of a computer all day trying to figure out why something won't compile, and then having to learn a new programming language a month later. You can work with electronics on cruise ships 8-)

Computer Science is programming. Computer Engineering varies depending on the university curriculum. Building, repairing, networking is not really engineering. That's for a technician. The Engineering portion is usually Electrical Engineering where you are building circuits. At UC Berkeley, many years ago, it was called EECS where it was the Computer Science and Electrical Engineering. To simplify. Do you want one, the other, or both? The reason your profs may be steering you away from CS is because that's becoming a commodity. Like manufacturing, it's being offshored.

Electronics is better than computer science if....

1. u don't want to be a professional programmer

2. u want to learn making of computer ( circuits , chips , etc..) rather than the software based work

but keep in three more things in mind...

1. u can work in software firms by studying electronics but vice versa..is not true...

2. electronics covers almost half the aspects of computer science but vice versa not right..

3. electronics is more difficult than computer science

I suggest that computer science is the best.. In our country basically software has more demand than hardware.. See if u r intersted in Hardware u take Electronics else u take Computers.. Computers is a subject about coding etc.Of course there r several fields in it..

i am sugesting both the fields have same importance but .if you are going to join elctronics then you will get jobs in both telecommunication and software.but if you lern cs then it is only software.and also cs is harder than electronics.
